GREENBRIER RESIDENCE
Utilizing regional materials and modern detailing, this residence sets itself apart from predictable applications. With massing and materials organized programmatically, the function of the spaces are indicative of their expressive treatments. The most prominent feature being a slatted wood stair core providing a striking perspective from the inside out.
A central glass wall welcomes the inhabitant as they walk into a double high volume of space connecting the second level to the entry foyer. With a direct link to the indoor/outdoor experience, the resident and guest is drawn through the house by an additional glass wall framing the rear yard. Protecting from the summer sun, a deep overhang provides harbor for the rear yard porch, while capturing southern breezes cooled by the shade and the pool.
The resident delights in the clean organization of spaces, distinguished natural material composition, and stunning natural light this house has to offer.
