JESS KING  joined Clinton + Company Architects in November of 2017.  She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.  Before her Masters, Jess received her undergraduate degree in Interior Design at University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Prior to joining Clinton + Company, Jess worked for Callison RTKL focusing on large scale Healthcare projects.  There, she gained experience in project documentation, programming, and the design development process. This provided her a foundation of experience and knowledge that she applies to the details and rigor of more intimately scaled projects.

Jess is inspired by the conversations, gestures, and personalities within the design process that make it authentically human. She believes beauty can be found in all aspects of design, from the broad ideas down to the details. This approach, along with thorough and thoughtful investigation, allows for every project, in turn, to inspire those who experience it. To her, practicing architecture is a study in how spaces reflect and relate to humanity, nature, and light. The resulting built environment weaves these aspects together to create what fascinates us: a true sense of place and belonging.
